The Bathing Rites Ceremony was performed by the Senior Members of the Royals from the Mom Chaos (Serene Highnesses) up in the Piman Rataya Throne Hall. His Majesty the King then lead the immediate Royal Family behind the coffin to the Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall. The Royals in attendance were HM the King, HM the Queen, TRH the Crown Prince, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Princess Chulabhorn, Princess Ubolratana, the Crown Prince's Consort, Princess Somsawali, Princess Bajra Kitiyabha, Princess Siriwanwari, Princess Siribha Chutabhorn, Thanpuying Tasanawalai Sornsongkram (Princess Galyani's daughter), Ambassador Sindhu Sornsongkram (Princess Galyani's son-in-law) and Mr. Jitas Sornsongkram (Princess Galyani's grandson) and lastly, Princess Chulabhorn's consort.

The procession first passed the two halls connecting the two throne halls where members of the different royal houses were seated (circles), then up the steps into the Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall, passing the senior members of the different royal houses, for instance, the Mom Chaos of the Royal Houses of Yugala and Jumbala.
