NEW ROYAL TITLES FOR THE CROWN PRINCE'S CONSORT AND YOUNGEST DAUGHTER

 

On 15 June 2005, the Royal Household Bureau announced that His Majesty the King has bestowed a new title on Mom Sri Rasmi Mahidol na Ayudhya, Consort of HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, on the occasion of her marriage to the Crown Prince and having given birth to a new Prince of the Chakri Dynasty. Mom Sri Rasmi will now be styled Her Royal Highness Princess Sri Rasmi, The Royal Consort (Pra Chao Vorawongse Ther Pra Ong Chao Sri Rasmi, Pra Vorajaya). "Pra Vorajaya" means Royal Consort.

On the same occasion, His Majesty the King bestows a new title on his youngest granddaughter, HSH Princess (Mom Chao) Siriwanwaree Mahidol, making her Her Royal Highness Princess Siriwanwaree Nareeratana (Pra Chao Lan Ther Pra Ong Chao Siriwannawari Nariratana) on the occasion that she has established herself well in her studies as well as for her many official duties she has performed for the Royal Family. The words "Lan Ther" means The Royal Granddaughter, and a new name of "Nareeratana" is added at the end - an aged old customs for when a member of the Royal Family is given a new title..
