ZONE 1 - TIMELINE

A tourguide will give an introductory information of Thailand's first brewery, starting in 1929 when Praya Bhirom Bhakdi first thought of a new business venture. The timeline runs through War Time Siam when the brewery had to find alternate products to sell, to keep the company afloat, and finally to 1967 when this building that now houses the Singha Museum was built as Brewhouse No. 2, in extension of the original Brewhouse No. 1 next door.

Shown here are original bottles of Singha Beer from 1930s, Soda Water bottles and the now-discontinued fruit drinks bottles. There is also a copy of the Royal Appointment letter under the Reign of His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol, or Rama VIII of the Chakri Dynasty, the original is kept in the company's archive.

Singha Museum Zone 1 - Timeline
The near life-size print of the men packing beers under the stairs shows how beer bottles were neatly hand-packed in hay before shipping, to prevent breakage during transportation. The returnable bottles were very strong and were imported from Europe and Japan.
